UI/UX Developer

Our client, a leading global supplier for IT services, requires UI/UX Developer to be based at their client’s office in London, UK.
This is a hybrid role – you can work remotely in the UK and attend the London office 2-3 days per week .
This is a 12 month temporary contract to start asap
Day rate: Competitive Market rate
Our client is seeking a highly skilled and passionate UI/UX Developer with strong expertise in React.js and TypeScript to design and build modern, intuitive, and high-performing web applications. The ideal candidate will collaborate closely with product owners, UX designers, architects, and backend engineers to transform business requirements into engaging user experiences while ensuring scalability, maintainability, and accessibility.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with business stakeholders, product managers, and UX designers to understand requirements and translate them into intuitive user interfaces.
- Convert wireframes, prototypes, and design mockups into responsive, pixel-perfect web applications.
- Develop reusable and scalable UI components using React.js and TypeScript.
- Implement modern UX principles, accessibility standards (WCAG), and responsive design techniques.
- Integrate front-end applications with backend services through REST APIs and GraphQL.
- Optimize applications for maximum performance, scalability, and cross-browser compatibility.
- Participate in agile ceremonies, sprint planning, code reviews, and estimation activities.
- Develop and execute unit and integration tests to maintain code quality.
- Work closely with DevOps teams to support CI/CD pipelines and automated deployments.
- Contribute to UI design systems, component libraries, and engineering best practices.
- Continuously evaluate emerging technologies and recommend improvements to enhance user experience and development efficiency.
Key Requirements
Front-End Technologies
- React.js (Hooks, Context API, Functional Components)
- TypeScript
- JavaScript
- HTML5, CSS3
- Responsive Web Design
- Redux / Zustand / Context API
- Material UI, Tailwind CSS, Bootstrap or similar UI frameworks
UX & Design
- Strong understanding of UI/UX design principles
- Experience working with Figma, Adobe XD, or Sketch
- Accessibility (WCAG) and usability best practices
- Design systems and component-based architecture
Integration & Development
- REST APIs and GraphQL
- Git, GitHub/GitLab
- CI/CD pipelines
- Agile/Scrum methodologies
- Performance optimization and browser compatibility
