AI Specialist
Our client, a leading global supplier for IT services, requires AI Specialist to be based at their client’s office in Leeds / Bradford, UK.
This is a hybrid role – you can work remotely in the UK and attend the Leeds / Bradford office 2-3 days per week .
This is a 6+ month temporary contract to start asap
Day rate: Competitive Market rate
The Role
- The AI Specialist is an expert practitioner responsible for delivering complex AI solutions across design, build, data science, and deployment activities.
- Operating within the AI Centre of Enablement, the role supports the AI Foundry delivery team by providing deep technical expertise and hands on contribution to advanced AI initiatives.
- The role operates across multiple AI domains, including generative AI, agentic AI, and data driven intelligence, ensuring solutions are robust, scalable, and responsibly deployed.
- Through technical leadership and specialist insight, the role accelerates the organisation’s ability to adopt and operationalise advanced AI capabilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide specialist technical expertise across AI solution design, development, and deployment, supporting complex and high impact AI initiatives.
- Design and implement advanced AI capabilities by contributing hands on to solutions involving large language models, agentic architectures, Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG), and automation workflows.
- Guide solution patterns and technical approaches by advising on best practices for generative AI, data driven intelligence, and enterprise AI architectures within the Microsoft AI ecosystem.
- Support data science and model optimisation activities by assessing data readiness, evaluating model performance, and improving accuracy, consistency, and reliability of AI outputs.
- Develop reusable AI assets including prompt libraries, connectors, templates, and technical frameworks to accelerate delivery across the AI Foundry.
- Act as a technical authority and mentor by supporting AI Product Developers, AI Design Analysts, and AI Test Leads through guidance, coaching, and hands on problem solving.
- Embed operational and responsible AI practices by supporting MLOps, monitoring, lifecycle management, and adherence to responsible AI principles and governance standards
