Data Design Analyst / Data Modeler
Our client, a leading global supplier for IT services, requires an experienced Data Design Analyst / Data Modeler to be based in their client’s office in Leeds,
This is a Hybrid role and you will be able to work some days remotely.
This is a 6+ month temporary contract to start asap
Day rate: Competitive Market rate
The client is looking for an experienced Data Design Analyst/ Data Modeler with 6-8 years of experience to take end-to-end ownership of data modelling for data migrated from Oracle to Azure Microsoft Fabric.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement conceptual, logical, and physical data models in Azure MS Fabric
- Lead data modelling activities for Oracle-to-Azure migration initiatives
- Define and optimise Medallion Architecture layers (Bronze, Silver, Gold)
- Translate business and analytical requirements into robust data structures
- Ensure data integrity, performance, scalability, and compliance with governance standards
- Collaborate with data engineers, architects, and business stakeholders
- Data analysis and modelling experience, problem solver
- Data requirement gathering, determine ER, ER diagrams,
- Logical data model, multi-dimensional modelling
Key Requirements:
- Strong experience in data governance, metadata management, and catalogin
- Hands-on expertise with Microsoft Purview (catalog, lineage, classification, glossary)
- Experience supporting cloud data platforms, preferably Azure MS Fabric
- Understanding of data warehousing, Medallion Architecture, and analytics ecosystems
- Strong stakeholder management and documentation skills
- Some travel or weekend support might be required
