Security Engineer
Our client, a leading global supplier for IT services, requires Security Engineer to be based at their client’s office in Manchester, UK.
This is a hybrid role – you can work remotely in the UK and attend the Manchester office 2-3 days per week .
This is a 6+ month temporary contract to start asap
Day rate: Competitive Market rate
Key Responsibilities
- Supported Data Security Posture Management (DSPM) initiatives by performing structured and unstructured data discovery, scanning, and classification.
- Deployed, managed, and maintained containerized applications using Kubernetes and Helm.
- Implemented data privacy and compliance controls in alignment with GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation) requirements.
- Automated data security processes through scripting and integration with CI/CD pipelines to improve operational efficiency.
- Developed and maintained automation workflows to enhance data protection, monitoring, and compliance enforcement.
- Collaborated with cross-functional teams to ensure secure deployment and governance of data-centric applications.
Key Requirements
- Data Security Posture Management (DSPM): Hands-on experience in sensitive data discovery and structured/unstructured data scanning across databases, data lakes, and file systems.
- Container & Cloud Deployments: Proven experience with Kubernetes orchestration and Helm for secure and scalable application deployments.
- Data Protection & Risk Management: Strong understanding of data classification, access governance, and security monitoring across cloud and on-premise environments.
